Jessie B15494
Breeding: Clyde B7242 Bet B10434
Born 23/05/1996

This dog is where it all started. She was bred by T Lubbe from Burgersdorp. She was out of Bet and Clyde. Bet was imported and went back to the Dryden Joe Line and Glyde came out of Bennie Strydom’s Spot and Floss, they where both imported. We bought her 1995. She had a huge gap to fill when my first dog died unexpectingly, and at a very young age she already showed signs of a remarkable dog. At the young age of 10 months she won her first trial. I remember working her in the day and late afternoons doing some training. I was very inexperienced at that stage and made some big mistakes in her training, in spite of that she still turned out a champion. She was an incredible good listener and reacted very, very quick on commands.

Lad B17127
Breeding: Bob (Imp) B13957 Jessie B15494
Born 23/04/1999
|
Lad was one of those pups that chose himself. He was a handsome little fellow and had a lot of personality.
He started to show interest in sheep from a very young age. He was not the easiest to train and always question me a little bit. He developed into one of the strongest dogs I have worked with. He could walk up to anything and make them move , he really liked ewes and lambs specially if there is a stand of. He is a good cattle worker as well. In the pens I taught him to back and he is really useful with large numbers of sheep. Lad is a good line dog and can be extremely hard to flank. But he can keep most sheep on line without to much flanking.

Jan B17128

Jan is a litter mate to Lad. This was her biggest draw back . I always fancy Lad and did not pay that much attention to her. She was easy to train and at one stage I even though of selling her fortunately I changed my mind. When she was about four to five years old she matured and became a really steady and reliable dog. She has won the SA Nationals on three occasions, in 2004, 2005 and 2007. She is a really good double lift dog and do well with big courses. She developed a good feeling for sheep and is good on most type of sheep. She is a very good farm dog with plenty of power and balance. Jan is one of those dogs that will start of the day and end it in the same fasion , she has good stamina and never stops.

From the start this dog was a exceptional good listener. She was easy to train , and has nice natural outrun. She is a very consistent dog and in 2007 she won the Dog of the Year award, she also came second in the Nationals and won the Brace with her sister Jan. In 2007 at the Soldier Hollow trial in the USA she came second in her qualifying round and made it to the final. In 2008 Jill went back to the USA. In New Mexico she won the award for the most points over five days.
At this year’s nationals 2008, she won the SA Nationals as well as the Brace with Jan. Jill is only four years old and we look forward to the next trial season.

Don is out of our young upcoming dogs. He is only two years old and at the 2008 Nationals, this was only he’s third trial, he won the SA Junior Championship. He was Jessie’s last pup, she had two and one died at birth, the father is Edge imported from the USA by Andrew and Pippa Phillip.
Don is a very athletic dog with a lot of go. He is an incredible shedder and can hold sheep any where. He is really a dog with character and you can’t help liking him.

This little bitch came to us from the U.K. At only a year old she is the youngest of our dogs. I gave this little dog the same name as my first trial dog, as a tribute to what a great dog she was. I have only started her but she is one of those dogs you just can’t wait to get out there and train her. She gives you everything every time she goes out there.
What I really liked about her is the distance she keep going around the sheep as well as good balance , and then she comes forward onto her sheep with a lot of purpose. She has a good natural feel for sheep and is always trying to read them. Looking very promising and hopefully she can keep this up.
